Greenville Heritage FCU Supports 2026 Credit Union Build with Habitat for Humanity

Greenville Heritage Federal Credit Union is proud to partner with 11 area credit unions, along with volunteers and community partners for the Habitat for Humanity of Greenville Credit Union Build (CU Build) initiative.

In support of Habitat for Humanity’s mission of providing decent, affordable housing and hope to families in need, this collaborative effort reflects the credit union philosophy of people helping people and demonstrates the powerful impact local organizations can make when they come together for a shared purpose.

This year’s build is especially meaningful as Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County celebrates 40 years of raising walls and hope for families across the Upstate. The new home, located at 101 Sturtevant Street in the Bramlett community, will become the newest Habitat home in a neighborhood that already includes nine Habitat-built homes.

At Greenville Heritage FCU, supporting this initiative is about more than building a house—it’s about helping build brighter futures.

In 2026, Greenville Heritage Federal Credit Union proudly marks 85 years of serving the local community while joining the nation in celebrating America’s 250th Birthday. These milestones make this partnership even more special, as the credit union continues its mission of investing in the dreams and well-being of local families.

Habitat for Humanity’s impact extends far beyond affordable housing. Homeownership creates a greater sense of stability, self-reliance, and pride. It can also make a lasting difference for children, who often do better in school when they have a stable place to live and are not forced to move from one place to the next. By supporting the CU Build, Greenville Heritage FCU is helping make that kind of life-changing opportunity possible.

In addition to providing financial support, team members will participate in hands-on volunteer efforts for the CU Build, helping strengthen ties between the credit union, its membership, and the local community.

Greenville Heritage Federal Credit Union is honored to stand alongside fellow credit unions and Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County in this important effort to expand affordable homeownership opportunities in the Upstate. Together, this partnership is helping raise more than walls—it is helping raise hope, build stability, and open doors for families pursuing the American Dream.
