GHFCU Donates $4,250 to the American Cancer Society

Greenville Heritage FCU is dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the communities we serve.

Upholding the Credit Union Philosophy of People Helping People, we proudly support vital initiatives through our Philanthropic Partner, the American Cancer Society. Their efforts provide essential assistance to Upstate cancer patients—offering transportation to treatment, lodging for those traveling for care, and funding groundbreaking cancer research at Clemson University and MUSC. Together, we’ve been working to bring hope, support, and progress in the fight against cancer for those in Upstate, South Carolina.

Through sponsored events, member and community donations, GHFCU was proud to donate $4,250 to the American Cancer Society on May 15, 2025.

In 2023 and 2024, GHFCU gifted $2,500 as a Steam Sponsor for the Shuck Cancer, Greenville’s Party with a Purpose to bring together unique food, beverage and music for one night to remember.

In 2024, GHFCU members and employees generously provided monetary contributions through branch sales of candy, Attraction Books and cash donations to the GHFCU Making Strides Against Breast Cancer team. The Making Strides movement raises lifesaving funds that support breast cancer patients, survivors, thrivers, and caregivers through every step of the journey. The GHFCU team walked on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Flour Field in Greenville, South Carolina in honor of Carolyn Shirley, a long-time member and wife of Board Member, Dan Shirley.
