Online Banking Security Update: Two-Factor Authentication

At Greenville Heritage Federal Credit Union, protecting our members’ online banking accounts and personal financial information remains a top priority.

Beginning May 19, 2026, Greenville Heritage FCU will launch a new two-factor authentication security feature designed to provide enhanced fraud protection, secure online account access, and a safer digital banking experience for all members.

What does that mean? When members log in to their online account on or after May 19, 2026 they will be prompted to enroll and enter a valid phone number upon enrollment to receive a security code. The member will then simply enter the code sent to the device to restore access. 

Before May 19, 2026, we advise all members to log in to Home Banking to ensure current phone numbers are correct under Settings/Profile, to receive the One-Time Passcode. 

What does two-factor authentication mean for you?

• No more frustrating security questions when accessing your account
• No need to memorize your new passcode – each generated code is unique
• Each passcode is sent directly to your device for easier access
• Your account is more secure
